Arsenal prepared to sell contract-rebel Mesut Ozil in January, Man United boss Jose Mourinho keen

Germany international playmaker Mesut Ozil could be on his way out of Arsenal in January.

The 28-year-old has under nine months remaining on his contract is yet to agree a new deal with the Gunners.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are prepared to offload their midfield ace in January. Per the source, the north London-based club would rather cash in on Ozil rather than lose him on a free next summer.

The Mirror goes onto state that talks between Arsenal and Ozil are ongoing however, the former Real Madrid man is demanding around £350,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, the Mirror states that Arsenal are prepared to offer Ozil £275,000-a-week.

Arsenal run the risk of allowing Ozil join Manchester United if they let his contract run out. The Mirror claims that United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on signing his former player.

Ozil played under the Portuguese tactician during his time at Real Madrid prior to his 2013 move to Arsenal.
