Arsenal Provisional Squad Against Everton Revealed – Ozil Makes Cut, Star Midfielder Included Despite Knee Injury

Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday hoping to record their third successive victory in all competitions.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is likely to bring his first-team stars back into the fold after making eight changes for the 4-2 Europa League victory over Vorskla Poltava on Thursday.

Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette did not start mid-week and will be pushing for returns after all making the provisional squad.

Ozil did come off the bench and score his second goal in successive games.

The playmaker of Turkish origin has two goals in five appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.

Lacazette will be competing with Aubameyang, Welbeck and Iwobi to start upfront as all have made the squad.

Emery does have a few injury concerns. Lucas Torreira faces a race against time to recover from a knee injury from the Vorskla clash but has made the squad.

Laurent Koscielny (Achilles), Sead Kolasinac (knee), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg) and Carl Jenkinson (ankle) are not in the squad due to their respective injuries.

The North London based outfit have a great home record against the Toffees. Arsenal are unbeaten in 24 home matches against Everton in all competitions, last losing all the way back in 1996.
