Arsenal Provisional Squad To Face Newcastle – Mesut Ozil Makes The Cut, Emery Missing Four Players

Arsenal take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park in their first game back after the international break.

The Gunners are without any new injuries ahead of the Newcastle clash and could have Alex Iwobi back following an illness.

The North London outfit will be without Laurent Koscielny, Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Carl Jenkinson due to injury.

Playmaker of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil has made the squad and is likely to start.

Ozil quit international football so will be well rested heading into the game against the Magpies.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has also made the squad and has been directly involved in seven goals in his last five Premier League starts (5 goals, 2 assists).

The Magpies have lost all three of their Premier League games against ‘big six’ teamsin 2018-19 by a 1-2 scoreline.
