Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer £25m for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida according to The Sun.
Turkish outlet Ajansspor meanwhile, claim that the Black Eagles proposed a counter offer.
Per the source, the Super Lig outfit want David Ospina and Danny Welbeck in additional to a lump sum for Vida.
Besiktas have made signing a new goalkeeper and striker a priority this summer.
The Sun report does make it clear that the Gunners are open to several players leaving over the transfer window including Ospina and Welbeck.
Mustafi, Welbeck, Lucas Perez and David Ospina are the players Arsenal are prepared to sell.
The counter offer could end up working in the Arsenal’s favor as they have to sell in order to raise the funds for Vida.
Turkish-Football have reported Besiktas as being in talks with the North London based outfit over Ospina throughout the summer period.
The Black Eagles have made signing a new keeper a priority after selling Fabri to Fulham.
Ospina has dropped down the pecking order at Arsenal into third place behind Bern Leno and Petr Cech.
The Colombian international is likely to leave the Emirates but does have another two-years remaining on his contract.
Additionally, a new striker is also on the agenda as Besiktas never replaced Cenk Tosun who joined Everton in January.
Welbeck is also expected to struggle for playing time at Arsenal next season.
