Arsenal Recieve Transfer Boost as Turkish Giants Are Keen To Cash In On £26.9m World Cup Star This Summer

Arsenal has received a boost in their pursuit of Besiktas’ star defender Domagoj Vida.

The Turkish Super Lig giants are keen to cash on their in-demand defender this summer.

The Croatia international has been closely linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.

Vida attracted the attention of the north London based club following a string of impressive performances during the 2018 World Cup. The 29-year-old helped guide Croatia to the final, where they were defeated by France.

According to the Turkish outlet Aksam, Vida has told Besiktas officials that he is in no rush to leave the Istanbul giants this summer.

However, director of football Umut Guner has stated that Besiktas may need to sell Vida due to the clubs precarious financial situation.

Per the source, Guner has told Vida that the Croatian star must consider the clubs financial position.

Besiktas are hoping to cash in on Vida after signing him for free back in January.

Meanwhile, Besiktas president Fikret Orman has travelled to London today amid reports linking Arsenal with a £26.9 million move for Vida.

The Gunners have until Thursday evening to get the deal over the line.
