Arsenal haven’t given up their pursuit of France international star midfielder Thomas Lemar.

The Gunners came close to landing the 21-year-old on transfer deadline day. According to the Sun, the Gunners tabled a £92 million bid for Lemar.

A source close to Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Arsenal had numerous scouts present during the Besiktas v Monaco clash on Tuesday in Istanbul.

Per the source, they were monitoring the progress of Monaco star Thomas Lemar.

However, the scouting session was cut short when Lemar went off injured after just 26th minutes.

Besiktas ended up holding Monaco to a 1-1 draw and remain at the top of their UEFA Champions League group.

Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday. The Gunners take on their biter north London rivals Tottenham in their next Premier League fixture on November 18.

Besiktas meanwhile face Akhisar in their next league encounter.
