Arsenal have been closely linked with a move for their former midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup in recent weeks.
Turkish-Football recently reported that the Gunners had a January bid for the Turkey international rejected by Besiktas.
However, the Gunners have not given up the pursuit of their former midfielder. Sources close to Besiktas have revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Arsenal scouts were present during the Black Eagles UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, it was a wasted trip as Ozyakup started the game on the bench and was not called upon by manager Oguzhan Ozyakup.
Besiktas were thrashed by a 5-0 scoreline on the night with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both bagging a brace.

The 25-year-old made the move to Besiktas from Arsenal back in 2012 after failing to secure a spot in the Gunners first-team squad.
Ozyakup has gone onto win two Turkish league titles and play an instrumental role in the Black Eagles UEFA Champions League run to the Last 16.
