Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has broken his silence over his future at the Emirates.
The Gunners signed Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen last week and now have three experienced keepers on his hands with David Ospina and Petr Cech also on the books.
Leno is expected to become first-choice keeper for the Gunners next season so it is likely that either Ospina or Cech will leave.
Considering Ospina was already the second-choice stopper it is difficult seeing how he would not be pushed further down the pecking order following the latest transfer.
The 29-year-old admitted he is aware of the current situation but that he will not make a decision on his future until after the World Cup.
“I’m now fully concentrated on national team,” Ospina told VivaroNews Sport.
“I know that Arsenal signed new goalkeeper, but I’m now focused on national team and after the World Cup I will think what to do next.”
Turkish-Football reported last week that Fenerbahce club president Ali Koc had travelled to London and was spotted at the Dorchester Hotel.
The Fenerbahce delegation held talks with representatives from several clubs including Arsenal regarding Ospina.
The Istanbul based outfit were linked with Ospina last summer as well but former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger convinced him to stay.
The Yellow Canaries are confident they will be able to strike a deal for the 29-year-old.
Ospina is currently on international duty at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
After a disappointing opener in the 2-1 defeat against Japan, the goalkeeper put on an impressive display helping Colombia keep a clear sheet in the 3-0 win over Poland.
The South American nation will reach the next round if they record a victory over Senegal on Thursday.
