Arsenal have made signing a new keeper a priority according to reports in the British press.

Football journalist Kike Marin reports that Gunners manager Unai Emery wants the keeper to ‘lead’ his new look team.

The German keeper has spent the past seven years at Bayer Leverkusen but the Bundesliga side expect him to move on this summer.

The 26-year-old keeper has a £22 million release clause.

Should Leno join it would likely push David Ospina further down the pecking order.

Turkish-Football understand that Ospina is back on the radar for Fenerbahce who feel the Colombian international may leave this transfer window.

Ospina has been closely linked with an exit over the past two-seasons but Arsene Wenger managed to keep him on.

The Yellow Canaries recently appointed sporting director Damien Comolli has close ties to Arsenal.

Comolli discovered the likes of Kolo Touré, Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy as a scout at Arsenal before being appointed sporting director for Spurs in 2005.

The Istanbul giants have made signing a new keeper a priority.

Fenerbahce finished the league campaign as runners-up and will compete in Champions League.
