Arsenal Star Set To Leave Emirates After Agent Travels To Istanbul For Advanced Talks

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is set to leave the Emirates this summer after falling further down the pecking order.

The transfer of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen has made the Colombia international’s chances of playing time even slimmer next season.

Ospina was already second choice to Petr Cech but is now third pick.

Turkish-Football reported that Ospina had been offered to the Yellow Canaries via agents earlier in the transfer window.

Fenerbahce club president Ali Koc had traveled to London with sporting director Damien Comolli and was spotted at the Dorchester Hotel last month holding talks with Arsenal representatives.

It now emerges that the 29-year-old’s agent traveled to Istanbul for advanced talks after Arsenal gave the green light for the keeper to leave.

A source close to Fenerbahce revealed that Ospina and Kevin Trapp are the two names on the shortlist they are targeting.

Ospina is a long-term target and the Super Lig outfit are confident they will be able to strike a deal.

Fenerbahce are willing to offer a three to four-year deal, Ospina would be joining as first-choice keeper.

The Super Lig outfit want to sort out their goalkeeping issue before the start of the Champions League playoff round.
