Arsenal star dropped from Germany national team while Liverpool’s Emre Can earns call-up
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has been dropped from the Germany national team.
The World Cup champions named their squad ahead of this summers Confederations Cup.
Germany boss Joachim Low has revealed his 23-man squad which will compete in Russia. The experienced tactician has named an experimental side, leaving out several key names.
Mesut Ozil has been omitted from the squad. The likes of Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng and Sami Khedira have also been left out.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been included in squad. The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for the Reds since the turn of the year.
Arsenal centre-back Shkodran Mustafi has also been given a call-up by Joachim Low.
The Confederations Cup serves as a prelude to the World Cup.

Mesut Ozil played a starring role during Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Sunderland on Tuesday evening. The 28-year-old has racked up 13 assists and scored 12 goals in 42 appearances for the Gunners this season.
