Arsenal star forward nears move to Euro Giants after successful negotiations

Galatasaray are closing in on the out-of-favour Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

The 25-year-old is currently at the 2018 World Cup in Russia with the Costa Rica national team but isn’t expected to return to the north London based club.

Campbell’s contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the month. According to the Turkish outlet Takvim, Galatasaray have been in negotiations with the versatile forward’s representatives.

Per the source, the Costa Rica international is keen on a move to the Turkish giants who will participate in the UEFA Champions League football next season.

Campbell joined Arsenal back in 2011 from the Costa Rican’s side Saprissa however, has only made 23 appearances for the Gunners in seven years.

The 25-year-old has spent the past six seasons out on loan and made eight appearances for Real Betis last term.

Campbell is expected to feature when Costa Rica take on Brazil today in the World Cup.
