Arsenal Star Injury Boost, Mesut Ozil Expected To Recover From Injury Ahead Of World Cup

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil missed Germany’s final warm-up game against Saudi Arabia last Friday with a knee injury.

The playmaker of Turkish origin is however, expected to be match fit in time for the opening match against Mexico on Sunday according to the Sun.

The 29-year-old traveled with the Germany squad to Moscow on Tuesday but there were concerns over his injury.

Germany ended a five-game winless streak against Saudi Arabia with a 2-1 win in Leverkusen, breaking their longest winless run in 30 years.

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was booed by the home crowd as was Ozil in the previous game for taking a photograph with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
