Arsenal star Mesut Ozil clearly knows how to hold a grudge.
The playmaker of Turkish origin remembered the Stoke police force mocking his performance during the defeat against the Potters seven months ago.
Stoke beat the Gunners 1-0 at the Emirates, Ozil found himself centre of criticism, with the Staffordshire Police writing the following tweet: “Apologies for the delay in replying. We’ve been busy looking for a missing person, surname Ozil. Have you seen him? #Banter’.”
Well Ozil had the last laugh. The 29-year-old won the penalty for the opener and provided the corner that resulted in the second as Arsenal went onto win the game 3-0.

All in perfect timing for the Gunners star to share an April Fools’ Day joke.
Ozil got his revenge after the game, trolling the police force with their own tweet.
.@Policingstoke didn‘t help in the case of robbery last summer so we took matters into our own hands. ??♂ Proud to announce we earned three hard fought points today for @TheIwobiEffect and all the other gunners ? #Banter pic.twitter.com/wVrFgPKeJh

The Gunners take on CSKA Moscow next in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie at the Emirates. The European competition is currently the most realistic chance the North London based outfit have of booking a place in the Champions League next season.
