Arsenal star Mesut Ozil celebrated his 30th birthday on Monday and received a barrage of messages wishing him all the best on his big day.
Opta decided to take a look at his stats in their birthday message and it produced some interesting results.
The playmaker of Turkish origin has created more chances than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues – Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 – since records began in 2006.
The 30-year-old has created 1033 chances since records first started being gathered and tops an illustrious list including names such as Cesc Fabregas, David Silva, Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard.
Ozil is often accused of going missing, the stats show that he actually keeps providing.

The playmaker recently recovered from injury that ruled him out of the Fulham clash with a back spasm and is likely to start against Leicester on the weekend.
