Arsenal star Mesut Ozil hints he is unhappy with Arsene Wenger

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil returned to scoring and assisting ways last weekend following the 5-2 victory over Everton.

The playmaker of Turkish origin scored and provided an assist against the Toffees.

Despite putting on an impressive display Ozil had a few bones to pick with Arsene Wenger over his new position.

The 29-year-old feels he is at his best in a No 10 role but that he just has to accept and get on with the new position Wenger has been playing him.

Ozil has been played on the right of attack since Wenger switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-2-1 setup.

“I know myself better than anyone else and I’m someone who needs to have fun on the pitch,” Ozil told Sky Sports.

“Everyone knows my favourite position is the playmaker, the No 10, at the moment the coach plays me on the right and it’s a thing I need to accept and to show my quality in that position.

“Of course I’m happy to perform and give good performances individually, but it’s more important that we do that as a team. I think we did that really well against Everton.”

Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette all started together against the Toffees and all got their name on the scoresheet.

The 2014 World Cup winner has one assist and a goal in all competitions this season.

Wenger is likely to keep his new attacking trio heading into the Gunners next clash against Swansea on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
