Arsenal star Mesut Ozil featured in his second successive game on Sunday in the 2-0 victory over Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil did not start but was brought on as a substitute in the second half.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has been forced to rotate players as his side will play four games in little over a week.

Ozil shared a photograph from the Southampton game alongside a message praising his teammates and also made it clear he is looking forward to the game on Wednesday against Bournemouth.

It seems as if the playmaker of Turkish origin has managed win over Emery after spending much of 2019 struggling for playing time – making just four appearances.

Ozil remained positive throughout his time on the bench supporting his teammates after every game.

The 30-year-old is expected to be included in the matchday squad against Bournemouth but may not start with the North London derby against Tottenham just a few days away.

Ozil has four goals and two assists in 20 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this term.

Arsenal head into the Cherries clash in 4th place on 53 points, seven behind rivals Spurs who are currently 3rd in the Premier League.
