Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil Reveals Why He Dyed Hair Blonde

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil went viral last night after photos were shared on social media of his bold new look.

Ozil completely changed his image yesterday after dying his hair blonde.

The big question was why he decided to make such a radical move.

As it turns out the reason behind Ozil dying his hair was losing a crossbar challenge to Alexandre Lacazette.

Ozil revealed in a video on Instagram that he lost a bet along with Shkodran Mustafi, Sead Kolasinac to Lacazette which was tied to the crossbar challenge and that they have all dyed their hair as a result.

The odd thing is we have not seen Mustafi or Kolasinac dye their hair blonde yet.

This is the first time we have seen Ozil dye his hair completely blonde.

The Arsenal playmaker joins a long list of footballers who have gone blonde. Who can forget the Romania World Cup 1998 squad who all bleached their hair blonde? then there was Messi, Neymar, David Beckham.

Ozil is currently in the United States with the Arsenal squad as part of their preseason camp.

The Gunners played Colorado on Tuesday and will take on Real Madrid, Fiorentina and Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup before returning to England.
