Mesut Özil has worked with some of the most successful managers in the modern game over recent years playing at the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and for 2014 World Cup winners Germany.
Özil revealed that it was an honour to work with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho during his time at Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old also stated that he felt the same way about working together with Arsene Wenger and Joachim Löw.
Özil also sent a special shout out to former Schalke youth coach Norbert Elgart who played a major role in his early development.
“Norbert Elgart will always have a special place for me he was the youth coach at Schalke and was very influential in my early career,” Özil told Fanatik.
“It was also an honour to work with Jose Mourinho and also with current manager Joachim Low and Arsene Wenger.”
Özil won the La Liga title at Real Madrid under the stewardship of Mourinho and has won two FA Cup trophies at Arsenal.
The 27-year-old also played a key role in Germany lifting the 2014 World Cup. Özil is one of three ethnic Turks in the current Germany national team setup with the other two being Emre Can of Liverpool and İlkay Gündoğan of Borussia Dortmund.
Turkey also have a number of players of Turkish origin who were born in Germany including Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre.
