Arsenal star Mesut Ozil will start his first Premier League game of the season against Wolves today at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Ozil started in the Carabao Cup defeat against Liverpool midweek providing his second assist of the season.

The playmaker of Turkish origin played 65 minutes against the Reds but was taken off by Unai Emery to be rested ahead of the Wolves clash.

Emery made it clear that he took Ozil off as a precaution as he planned to use the 31-year-old today.

Ozil has struggled for playing time this season and has made just three appearances in all competitions.

It looked like the playmaker may have been frozen out of the side just a week ago but after being given a chance against Liverpool mid-week he put on an impressive display and managed to keep his place in the side.

The Gunners head into the Wolves clash having failed to win their last two Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United.
