Photo: Arsenal Star Does Not Make Europa League Team Of The Week Despite Being Nominated For Player Of The Week

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil featured in his first Europa League clash in 3101 days against Ostersund on Thursday.

Ozil ended up scoring in the 3-0 win over the Swedish minnows in the Round of 32 first-leg tie.

Ostersund had developed a reputation as giant killers after knocking Galatasaray out of the playoff stage but the Gunners made light work of their opposition.

The playmaker of Turkish origin put on a display good enough to be named in the Player of the Week nominations but bizarrely UEFA did not include him in the Team of the Week.

UEFA did however, include three Arsenal players. David Ospina, Nacho Monreal and Chambers.

Better luck next time Mesut…
