Arsenal star urged to make move to West Ham while Galatasaray hope to win race with lure of Champions League football

Galatasaray are set to face further competition in the race to sign Jack Wilshere this summer.

According to a report in the Express, newly appointed Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to see the 26-year-old at the London stadium next season.

Furthermore, former Arsenal forward Paul Mariner has urged Wilshere to make the move to the London based club this summer.

“I think if he goes to West Ham, he will be asked some serious questions, new manager in there,” Mariner told ESPN FC.

“I would like to see Jack go to a new club. I think at West Ham there are in a little bit of rebuild phase, new manager comes in. Get yourself out there, Jack. Show everybody what you have got.”

Meanwhile, Everton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Wolves and Fulham have also been linked with a move for Wilshere in the past fortnight.

Turkish-Football recently reported that Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim is a keen admirer of Wilshere.

The Lions are hoping to tempt the England international to Istanbul with the lure of UEFA Champions League football.

Wilshere proved his fitness this season after providing seven assists and scoring two goals in 40 senior appearances for Arsenal this season. However, the 26-year-old appears to have failed to convince the Gunners to offer him an extension.
