Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu was closely linked with a summer exit last month but the Bundesliga outfit appeared to scare interest off with their €30m asking price.

Sport report that the future of Diego Godin and Stefan Savic could be in doubt at Atletico Madrid with both players being linked with Juventus.

Per the source, Atleti are considering their options and have asked Freibrug how much Soyuncu would cost.

The Bundesliga side want €30m for the 22-year-old but the La Liga outfit are of the view that €20m would be enough to price him away.

Arsenal and several Premier League sides have also been linked with the Turkish international.

Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru recently told Turkish-Football that Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is keen on his client but there has not been official talks.

Dogru did reveal that Soyuncu wants a Premier League move and that there is interest from Spain and Italy.

“Reports claiming Caglar or I saying a deal has been struck with Arsenal are false,” Dogru said.

“Arsenal have not held official talks with us, Sven Mislintat is keen on him but we are currently not in direct negotiations with the club.

“We have made it clear to Freiburg that Caglar wants to leave over the summer.

“Clubs from England, Spain and Italy have expressed an interest but they have to reach an agreement with Freiburg first.

“Freiburg are happy to go ahead with a transfer but only for the right price.

“Playing in the Premier League is what most footballers aim for.

“But that is not to say he would not consider a move to the La Liga.”

Freiburg will have to pay 25 percent of any future transfer fee to Altinordu which is part of the reason they have been digging their heels.

Arsenal have already signed Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi this summer.

The North London based outfit could still sign another player according to head coach Unai Emery who admitted he would sign a player for the right price.

Emery was quoted as saying the following by Reuters: “We signed the players who we needed and only if one player is a big opportunity for us will we sign them.

“At the moment, I think the squad is complete.

“We will only sign another player if there is an opportunity to bring in that one player, or two players.”
