Roma wonderkid Cengiz Under has been in great form since breaking into the first team in February.
Under has seven goals and two assists in all competitions since becoming a starter.
The 20-year-old has been directly been involved in two goals in the two Champions League games he has been involved in.
The rising star scored the goal that knocked out Shakhtar on away goals in the Last 16 and then provided the assist that eliminated Barcelona in the quarter-final tie.
It is little surprise that Under has been attracted interest from across Europe.
Manchester City and Arsenal have both been linked with Under.
In fact, City came close to signing him over the summer. Turkish-Football reported that the Citizens were close to a deal which would have seen the youngster sent to Freiburg on loan to gain experience.
Under responded to a question regarding whether he is considering a move for City and other Premier League sides by saying: “I have a five-year contract with Roma and only have the club on my mind.
“I am really happy here and still have a lot more to achieve. It would be crazy to leave Roma for another league.”
So it looks like Under will be staying at Roma, for the foreseeable future at least.
