Wenger is expected to deploy a new-look defence this weekend against Liverpool. Laurent Koscielny is set to return to the heart of Arsenal’s three-man defence after serving his suspension.
Mustafi is also expected to be included in the starting line-up despite reports linking him with a move abroad.
Wenger has to make a decision regarding Per Mertesaker who also returned to first-team training after recovering from a facial injury.
Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a doubt after he revealed his intention to leave Arsenal this summer.
Chile international Alexis Sanchez – who has recovered from an abdominal injury is available for selection today. The former Barcelona star scored 30 goals for Arsenal last season.
