Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger gave an injury update over four-star players following the 3-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Mesut Ozil provided his 50th assist – beating Eric Cantona’s record as the fastest player to reach the milestone – after setting up Shkodran Mustafi with the opener.
It turned out Mustafi’s header also happened to be the Gunners 1000th home goal.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both got their name on the scoresheet to record their second successive win after beating AC Milan 2-0 in Italy.
There was however, cause for concern as Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi looked to be struggling after the game.
Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal meanwhile, missed the game with injury.
It turns out Ozil’s injury is not serious. THe playmaker of Turkish origin is expected to play against AC Milan in the Europa League Last 16 second-leg tie on Thursday.
Mustafi meanwhile could miss the clash with a groin problem.
Bellerin and Monreal meanwhile could both make a return for the second leg game at the Emirates.
Asked about Ozil, Wenger responded: “It looks alright. ‘We have one problem which is Mustafi because he had to come off. It’s a groin problem. I don’t know how bad we have to check tomorrow.
“Bellerin is in a good way. He could be available for Thursday. ‘Nacho Monreal as well!”
Ozil has 10 assists and five goals in all competitions for the Gunners this season.
The 29-year-old setup both goals in the 2-0 win over AC Milan in Italy last week.
Winning the Europa League is currently Arsenal’s best chance of booking a place in the Europa League quarter-finals.
