The 29-year-old has not been called up to the Germany national team squad after retiring from international football.
Ozil will have a two-week break to regain full match fitness and should be ready to return to the starting lineup when the Premier League returns to action.
The playmaker has three goals in eight appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this season.
The North London based outfit will take on Leicester City at the Emirates on Monday 22 October next.
Arsenal have won nine games in a row and have risen up into 4th place in the Premier League table just two points behind leaders Manchester City.
