Arsenal team news: Provisional squad reveal, star defender out, Ozil makes the cut
Arsenal take on Tottenham in the North London derby hoping to end a five game winless streak against their rivals.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his provisional squad ahead of the derby clash.
The main absentees are defender Shkodran Mustafi (thigh), second choice keeper David Ospina (back), striker Lucas Perez (thigh) and Santi Cazorla (achilles).
Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil has been included as has Chile international Alexis Sanchez.
Wenger has used a three-man defence for the past three games, all of which have ended in victory.
Laurent Koscielny has been included in the squad but is a doubt for the game.
Wenger will be hoping his star defender is available against one of the most lethal attacking sides in the league.
The French manager has gone without a win in five games against Spurs for the first time in his career.
Mauricio Pochettino meanwhile is the first ever Tottenham boss to remain unbeaten in his first five top-flight derbies against Arsenal.
Arsenal provisional squad: Cech, Martinez, Macey, Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Maitland-Niles, Coquelin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Walcott, Iwobi, Sanchez, Giroud, Welbeck.
