The playmaker of Turkish origin has however, been dropped for the second international friendly game against Brazil on Tuesday.
The Germany national team released the following statement on their official Twitter account: “Thomas Mueller and Mesut Ozil will not travel with the squad to Berlin.”
Ozil has been rested ahead of the Brazil game, the 29-year-old is not injured and is likely to be match fit for Arsenal for their Premier League clash against Stoke City on Sunday 1 April.
The game against the Potters will be followed by a hugely important game versus CSKA Moscow in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg tie next Thursday.
The Gunners best chance of booking a place in the Champions League next season is winning the Europa League.
The North London based outfit are unlikely to break into the top-four as there is a 13 points gap between themselves and fourth-placed Tottenham.
