Arsenal Team News: Wenger Could Be Without Up To 6 Players Against Watford

Arsenal snapped a four game losing streak in emphatic fashion after beating AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro Stadium on Thursday in the Europa League Last 16 first-leg tie.

The Gunners may just have a bone to pick with Watford who beat them earlier on in the season, as Hornets striker Troy Deeney went onto claim the Arsenal players ‘lack cojones’.

Arsene Wenger is facing trouble on the injury front, up to six players could end up missing the game.

Nacho Monreal has returned to training after missing the AC Milan game but Wenger is not certain whether he will be available.

Sead Kolasinac and Calum Chambers are both doubts after picking up knocks against the Italian giants, Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Santi Cazorla are all out injured.

“Sead Kolasinac has an ankle problem, but we don’t rule him out for Sunday yet,” Wenger said following the win in Milan.

“Calum Chambers had cramps, because he played in a position which he is not used to for a centre back. He should be OK though. Hector Bellerin we don’t know yet, we have to see. He is not available for the weekend though.”

There is also the possibility that Wenger rests star players ahead of the Europa League return-leg at the Emirates next week.

Arsenal are out of the top-four race bar a miracle and their best chances of booking a Champions League spot next season is winning the Europa League.

It would not be a huge surprise if Henrikh Mkhitaryan or Mesut Ozil do not start – or get substituted off early.

One star player who the Thursday clash will not affect is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang so expect him to start.
