Arsenal team news: Wenger facing injury crisis in defence ahead of Man City clash

Arsenal head up north this weekend to take on Manchester City in the Premier League.

The clash takes place at the Etihad stadium while kick-off is scheduled for 14:15 (GMT).

Arsenal came into the clash following four victories and a draw since their shock defeat to Watford FC. Man City meanwhile are on a 13 game winning run.

Arsenal team news:

Alexis Sanchez is expected to be included in Arsene Wenger’s squad which faces Man City. The Chile international came close to a move to the Manchester based club over the summer transfer window.

The French tactician is facing an injury crisis in defence heading into this weekend’s clash. Bosnia international Sead Kolasinac is a doubt after picking up a hip injury.

Shkodran Mustafi is also unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery. Laurent Koscielny meanwhile has been struggling with an ankle problem of late but is expected to feature this weekend.

Striker Danny Welbeck has been ruled out with a groin strain injury.
