Arsenal team news: Wenger issues injury update ahead of Liverpool clash
Arsenal suffered an injury scare following reports of Mesut Ozil suffering with a back problem.
According to the Times, Germany international Mesut Ozil has been suffering from back spasms.
Ozil looked to be a slight doubt going into next weekends clash with Liverpool however, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has refuted these claims.
The French tactician stated that the Germany international trained with the team on Monday.
Wenger went onto say that Ozil will be training on Thursday with the rest of the Arsenal squad.
“He practised in a session at London Colney [on Monday] and then we have two days off – Tuesday and Wednesday,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard.
“We are in on Thursday and he will be in like everybody else.”

Ozil has come under fire from both pundits and fans alike following Arsenal’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Germany international has failed to find the back of the net since December and has just eight assists to his name.
Ozil racked up 19 Premier League assists last season and came close to matching Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists in a single season.
Arsenal find themselves in forth place with 50 points after 25 games. Liverpool are a point behind the Gunners and can leap-frog the north London based club should they record a win over Leicester City this weekend.
