Arsenal take on their London rivals West Ham United this weekend as they look to maintain momentum ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash.

The Gunners fans were hit by a bombshell this morning when manager Arsene Wenger announced that he will be stepping down at the end of the season after more than 20 years in charge.

Wenger’s announcement will almost certainly change the atmosphere at the Emirates and a capacity crowd is expected to attend.

Manager Arsene Wenger is expected to rest several of his star names as he focuses on winning the Europa League.

The Europa League is Arsenal’s final chance of silverware this season and offerers a direct route to the UEFA Champions League.

Both Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere recently returned to first-team training after injury worries, however, the duo are expected to be rested against West Ham.

Summer signing Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny are also likely to be rested ahead of the mid-week clash.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will almost certainly start for Arsenal this weekend due to his ineligibility in the Europa League. Ozil, who was rested last weekend is expected to feature as well.
