Arsenal Team News: Wenger receives major injury boost ahead of Stoke City clash

Arsenal will be looking to maintain their winning run of form when they take on Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend.

The clash takes place at the Emirates Stadium Sunday while kick-off is scheduled for 13:30 (GMT).

Arsene Wenger’s side come into the weekend clash following three victories in a row, including a 3-1 win over AC Milan. The French tactician will, however, have one eye on next weeks Europa League quarter-final against CSKA Moscow when selecting his squad against Stoke.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal were handed an injury scare when Mesut Ozil withdrew from the Germany national team squad. The 29-year-old featured for Joachim Lows’ side during their 1-1 draw against Spain.

Ozil will not feature for Germany for their midweek clash with Brazil, however, according to football.london, there is a possibility that Ozil has been granted a rest by Joachim Low after making 33 appearances for club and country over the course of the season.

Meanwhile, summer signing Alexandre Lacazette returned to first-team training as he steps up his recovery from a knee injury. The French international has been sidelined since February after undergoing an operation.

Aaron Ramsey also returned to training ahead of this weekend’s clash with Stoke City.
