Arsenal to hold advanced talks with Turkish giants over sale of £17m star striker Lucas Perez

Turkish Super League giants Fenerbahce are set to hold talks with Arsenal over the transfer of Lucas Perez.

The Spanish striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates following the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.

A source close to Fenerbahce has revealed to Turkish Football that advanced talks with Arsenal will be held within the next seven days.

Per the source, Fenerbahce want to sign Perez on a season-long loan with an option to buy included.

Fenerbahce’s newly appointed manager Aykut Kocaman has personally requested the transfer as he looks to bolster his attacking options.

Perez only played just 948 minutes of football in all competition’s for Arsenal last season. The Spanish striker still managed to score seven times and provide five assists despite limited playing time.

The 28-year-old has another three-years left on his contract with the Gunners. Perez made the move to Arsenal from Deportivo for £17 million last summer (BBC).
