Arsenal and Tottenham have stepped up interest in Roma winger Cengiz Under.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that both Premier League sides are keen on the 21-year-old.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been in contact with Under’s representatives and have continued to keep tabs on the winger over the international period.

Roma meanwhile want to keep the Turkey international at the club over the summer unless their £44m [€50m] valuation is met.

There is however, a problem. Under is currently one of the lowest paid star players in the team earning approximately €1m per-season.

Roma currently hold all the cards as Under has another three years remaining on his contract.

Roma would sell for the right price but are also happy to keep Under on at the club.

The winger meanwhile wants a better deal but does see his future in the Premier League.

The Serie A side failed to secure Champions League football and could be forced to sell star players to balance the books.

Under’s situation at the club remains unresolved.

Arsenal and Liverpool have yet to make a formal offer but Everton reportedly had a €28million bid rejected according to Tuttomercatoweb, cited by Football Italia.

Under excelled in the 2-0 victory over Greece last week scoring stunning goal and providing an assist.

Scouts from several major European clubs are expected to keep tabs on Under in the 2020 Euro Championship qualifier against France on 8 June.

Under has five goals and one assist in 18 caps for the Turkish national side.
