Arsenal transfer news: Euro giants prepare for talks in London with Gunners over for Alex Iwobi

Arsenal star midfielder Alex Iwobi has been linked with a move to the Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray.

Earlier today, Turkish-Football revealed that the Istanbul based club were interested in a move for the Nigeria international.

The daily Turkish newspaper Takvim have gone a step further.

According to the report, Galatasaray director Cenk Ergun will fly to London to hold talks with Arsenal for Iwobi if the north London-based club are prepared to offload the 21-year-old.

Takvim goes onto state that early talks are being held via intermediaries. Galatasaray boss Igor Tudor is understood to be a big fan of the star midfielder.

Iwobi has played just 11 minutes of football for Arsenal this season. The Nigeria international registered eight assists and four goals in 39 appearances for the Gunners last term.

Arsenal face a tough away fixture with Liverpool this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.

Galatasaray take on Sivasspor tonight as they look to record their third league win in a row.
