Arsenal transfer news: Gunners still in race for £20 million playmaker despite reports of new contract 

Turkey international playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup could still be on his way out of Besiktas despite nearing a new deal with Besiktas.

The 25-year-old has under nine months remaining on his contract with the Black Eagles. Turkish-Football recently revealed that Arsenal are keeping tabs on their former youngster.

However, Fanatik state that Ozyakup is close to penning a new deal with Besiktas. Per the source, while the midfielder is keen on a move to Europe, he wants to earn the club money in the process.

Besiktas – who signed the midfielder from Arsenal for just £500,000 back in 2012 – have set a £20 million price tag on Ozyakup.

The Turkey international has establish himself as a key member of both Besiktas and the Turkey national team. Ozyakup has lifted two Turkish league titles since his move from Arsenal and has featured in the UEFA Champions League for the past two seasons.
