Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has deployed his summer signing Granit Xhaka in midfielder alongside Santi Cazorla, for tonight’s clash with FC Basel in the UEFA Champions League.
The Switzerland international has been drafted in to midfield following an injury to Francis Coquelin. The French midfielder suffered a knee injury during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea.
Xhaka has been in impressive form since joining from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 24-year-old has scored to goals for the Gunners this season already.
Mesut Ozil has also been included in Wengers starting lineup and starts in his favoured number ten role behind striker Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal’s other summer signing Mustafi has kept his place in defence alongside Laurent Koscielny.
The Gunners came away from Paris with a 1-1 draw in Group A’s opening game and will be looking to pick up all three points tonight.
