Arsenal v Hull City: Probable Line-ups – Wenger faces midfield crisis, Mesut Ozil expected to start

Arsenal take on a Hull City side that have looked rejuvenated under Marco Silva at the Emirates on Saturday 11 February.

The Tigers are battling relegation but since Silva took charge they beat Liverpool 2-0 and held Manchester United to a draw.

The Gunners have won just two out of their last five league games and will be desperate to get their now slim chances of challenging for the league back on track.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is facing a bit of a dilemma in midfield as Aaron Ramsey (calf) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles) are out. To make matters worse Granit Xhaka is still suspended. Mohamed Elneny who returns from the Africa Cup of Nations will however, be available according to the BBC.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is therefore likely to start alongside Francis Coquelin in midfield.

Wenger could also be without Hector Bellerin due to injury and the head coach faces a tough choice over whether to stick with Petr Cech or drop the out of form keeper for David Ospina.

Germany international of Turkish origin Mesut Ozil is almost certain to start in an attacking midfield role while Iwobi and Walctott could join him out wide.

Chile international Alexis Sanchez is likely to get the nod upfront and will be hoping to build on his excellent record against Hull – five goals in three league games against the Tigers.

Arsenal have not been in the best of form but the North London based outfit have not lost three Premier League games in a row since 2012. Additionally the Gunners are unbeaten against the Tigers in their last 13 head to head encounters.
