Mesut Özil is expected to start in Arsenal’s clash with Sunderland in the Premier League today.
The 27-year-old has been in impressive form of late and has been named the Vitality Arsenal Player of the Month after an exceptional November. The Gunners playmaker has now won the award for the second consecutive month.
Özil also broke the record for providing assists in six consecutive games and then broke his own record by setting up goals in his last seven games.
The Germany international has been in a rich vein of form having scored goals against Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Özil also found the back of the net last weekend and has been widely praised by fans and pundits alike.
