Arsenal vs Watford – Probable Lineups: Wenger Faces Defensive Crisis

Mesut Ozil

Arsenal take on Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League hoping to build upon their Europa League away win against AC Milan on Thursday.

Arsene Wenger may be considering resting the likes of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as a result. On the flip side he may want to build up a decent run of form to raise team moral and take pressure off his shoulders.

The Gunners boss is facing a bit of a crisis in defence and may be forced into making a few rotations.

Four defenders, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers could are all doubts.

This could see Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Rob Holding fill in. One star player who is very likely to start is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who did not feature mid-week after being cup-tied.

Watford meanwhile could welcome back Jose Holebas and Kiko Femenia who are facing late fitness tests before the match.

The Hornets do also have injury concerns, nine players in total including Gerard Deulofeu and Tom Cleverley could be ruled out.
