Arsenal star Mesut Özil posted a quote from himself where he talks about overcoming the odds to achieve success.
The Gunners playmaker posted a picture of himself on Instagram along with the caption, “If you want, you can overcome all: pressure, expectations, gravity! #WizardOfÖz #BeTheDifference.”
Özil has hit the ground running during pre-season, the 26-year-old provided two assists and scored during Arsenal’s 6-0 victory over Lyon.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that Özil could have his best season yet at the club. When asked if this could be Özil’s best season at the club, Wenger replied “yes.” (Daily Mail)
“He missed the whole first part of the season last year and came back to his best level in the second part of the season – hopefully he can deliver a whole season now.”
Özil provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season. The world cup winner has been in good form since the turn of the year winning two Vitality Arsenal Player of the Month and a PFA Fans Player of the Month award.
The North London based side take on their rivals Chelsea on August 2 in the Charity shield.
