Arsenal January signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan has heaped praise on his new teammate Mesut Ozil.
Mkhitaryan made the move to Arsenal earlier this month from Manchester United in a deal which saw Alexis Sanchez go in the opposite direction.
The Armeria international could make his debut for the club when Arsenal take on Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Mkhitaryan revealed that he cannot wait to link up with Mesut Ozil. The duo will now link up as the creative force in the Arsenal’s attack.
“Here at Arsenal I know that lots of players move a lot and it’s incredible the way the team plays. I will do my best to assist them as well,” Mkhitaryan told Arsenal’s official website.
“I think it will be really fun to play alongside Ozil. Everyone knows he’s a fantastic player, he’s an assist king.
“His intelligence, the way that he can understand the game, reads the game, plus the way he gives pace to the game and of course his final decision.”
Ozil played a starring role for Arsenal during their 2-1 win over London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League. The Gunners booked their place in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on February
Mkhitaryan inherited Alexis Sanchez’s No 7 shirt after joining Arsenal. The 29-year-old has made 22 appearances for Manchester United this season.
