Fenerbahce are planning major changes to their first team following one of the worst starts to the Turkish Super Lig season in their history.
The Yellow Canaries appointed Phillip Cocu over the summer and made several changes to their squad. However, after eight games Fenerbahce find themselves in 15th spot and just one point above the relegation zone.
According to the Turkish outlet Milliyet, Fenerbahce’s director of football Damien Comolli is set to hold a meeting with Arsene Wenger.
Per the source, the former Arsenal boss is the Turkish giants first choice as a replacement for Phillip Cocu.
Milliyet go onto state that Wenger is warming to a move to Istanbul.
Wenger spent 17 years as manager of Arsenal and won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and seven Community Shields.

The French tactician also reached the UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions League finals with the north London based club.
Fenerbahce are back in action Sivasspor on October 20 as they look to return to winning ways.
