Arsene Wenger has not lifted the Premier League title in 12 years but he remains ‘hungry for success’ according to Mesut Ozil.
Ozil also stated that Wenger knows how to develop players and get the best out of them.
“He is always hungry for success, has a lot of experience and always takes his time for the players. He helps players develop,” Ozil was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
The World Cup winner revealed that he would love nothing more than Wenger winning the Premier League at the end of the season.
“I would be delighted for (Arsene) Wenger if we win the title,” he added.
Ozil has yet to win the league with Arsenal since joining on a record £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid in 2013.
The Germany international of Turkish origin has however, won two FA Cup trophies with the Gunners.
Wenger has won three Premier League titles as Arsenal head coach since taking over in 1996.
Arsenal take on Watford next at the Emirates in the Premier League – Ozil is expected to start after returning from the international break.
