‘Ashley Young has more assists than Mesut Ozil’ – Arsenal fans react to star playmaker missing Brighton victory
Arsenal beat Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates on Sunday 1 October to move into 5th place in the Premier League.
Nacho Monreal and Iwobi scored the Gunners in what turned out to be a comfortable victory.
Mesut Ozil did not start against Brighton, in fact he did not make the squad due to a knee injury.
Ozil has struggled for playing time over recent weeks due to his knee inflammation.
Despite not playing Arsenal fans had plenty to say about the playmaker of Turkish origin.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil missing the clash on social media.

Arsenal are on a decent run but is it fair to say they are better without Ozil? it is worth remembering they have played Doncaster, West Brom, BATE and Brighton who to be fair are not exactly world beaters.
Arsenal beat Doncaster, West Brom, BATE and maybe Brighton so Ozil is a fraud ! //t.co/KXiJJAEmDR

Getting ridiculous now. OMG we drew 0-0 with Chelsea, therefore Ozil is surplus!
