Aston Villa are set to complete the transfer of Mahmoud Trezeguet from Kasimpasa within the next 48 hours according to The Sun.

Per the source, Villa CEO Christian Puslow has managed to negotiate a deal with the Super Lig outfit.

Trezeguet had an impressive season in Turkey last season scoring nine goals in 29 appearances in the Super Lig.

The attacking midfielder also had an impressive African Cup of Nations for Egypt and was voted the best player for the national team in Group A.

Trezeguet also completed the most dribbles in the Super Lig last term with 112 successful attempts to get past opposition players.

The 24-year-old will become the ninth player to join Villa this summer if the transfer goes through as expected.

Kasimpasa signed Trezeguet for just €2m from Anderlecht in July 2018.

The Turkish side have built a reputation for spotting undervalued talent recently.

Kasimpasa signed Mbaye Diagne on a free transfer from TJ Teda in January 2018 and went onto sell him for €13m to Galatasaray in January 2019.
