Aston Villa target Caglayan joins Kayserispor on-loan

Kayseri Erciyesspor midfielder Oğulcan Çağlayan has joined Kayserispor on a one-year loan according to Habertürk.

 

Çağlayan had a number of suitors. Erciyesspor President Ziya Eren recently confirmed that the club had received two offers from foreign clubs for Çağlayan.

We have received two offers from two major clubs from abroad,” Eren told AMK.

Fanatik recently linked Aston Villa were with a move for the Turkish youth international.

The report also claimed that Greek giants Olympiakos as well as Serie A sides Fiorentina and Lazio were also interested in the young midfielder.

The 19-year-old has been capped for the U-16,U-17,U-18 and U-19 Turkish national teams.

Çağlayan joined Erciyesspor from Gaziantepspor in February 2015 for €365,000. The young striker now has a market value of €2 million.

The Kayseri based side were relegated from the Turkish Super Lig last season after picking up just 27 points in 34 games.

Erciyesspor and Kayserispor and two largest football clubs in the city of Kayeri located in central Anatolia.
