‘Atrocious. Lethargic. Complacent’ – Liverpool Fans Slam Midfielder Despite Swansea Win
Liverpool crushed Swansea 5-0 at Anfield on Boxing Day in the Premier League.
Despite the convincing win one player could not escape criticism.
Emre Can was singled out and lambasted by sections of the fanbase for his display against the Swans.
Can attempted 72 passes and had a 90 percent pass accuracy. The midfielder also worked hard defensively and actually made the highest number of tackles in the game (6).

Can has not exactly showered in praise.
Christ if Emre Can goes any slower he’s going to fall back into the 20th Century. Atrocious. Lethargic. Complacent.

Emre Can not having a good game and was horrible last time out at Anfield as well.

Emre Can is playing like he’s already imagining Buffon’s nonna plating him a nice serving of pasta arrabiata.

Naby Keita can’t come soon enough. Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum have been awful in the middle.

Why do people want to buy Emre can

Emre Can was bang average today, no better than Hendo . In my mind , he is already in Italy. I think he should go in Jan. Hendos injury may stop that tho.

Decent stats to be fair.
Thought Emre Can had a good game. Has that Yaya Toure thing about him where he looks out on his feet or injured, but then muscles someone out of the way or carries the ball through the entire opposition midfield in a couple of strides.
6 tackles. 2 interceptions. 92% pass acc.

Should Liverpool allow Can to leave in January?
We cannot be letting player’s like can go in January.. If keita is coming in January then fair enough but can is too good to just let go in the middle of the season

Honestly mate, if we signed another midfielder then yes. But we only have him and Henderson as options in CM as things stand.
— Dom (@Frankly2Shankly) December 26, 2017
Not everyone thinks Can should leave. The Reds are however, running out of time if they want him to remain. The midfielder of Turkish origin will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a new deal.
If Liverpool manage to keep Emre Can after all it’s massive. Still only 23 and growing into one of the best CMs in the PL.
He’s (pretty much) perfect for Klopp and losing him on a free would’ve been a huge blow. Can, Keita and Coutinho/a replacement will be a top class midfield.
